About Us

The goal of Southern Valley Health Watch is to improve the quality of life for the residents of Richland and Wilkin Counties by promoting health through awareness programs, encouraging lifestyle changes and by providing a safe, supportive environment. SVHW aims to reduce the behavioral risks that are primary contributors to the morbidity and mortality of Richland/Wilkin residents.

We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 a.m. in the Wahpeton Community Center. Meetings last about an hour and usually involve a combination of recaps of past events, planning for upcoming events, and talk of other healthy living activities and issues in the Twin Towns.

Membership is free and newcomers are always welcome.
